Student Guardian Visa
International students studying in Australia on a student visa may require a guardian if they are under 18 years of age. There may also be exceptional circumstances where a student over 18 years of age may need a guardian for religious or cultural reasons. This Australian student visa is for parents or relatives of international students and allows them to accompany and live in Australia as the guardian of a student who is studying in Australia.
Before applying for this student visa, the applicant's dependents must have applied for and have been accepted to study full-time at an educational institution in Australia. This visa may be applied for inside or outside Australia and all applicants must meet health and character criteria.
Immigration Downunder Central Coast & Hunter are registered Australian migration agents and migration specialists who can assist student guardians in an application to accompany their dependent student who will be studying in Australia.
This student visa allows the student guardian to stay in Australia for the same length of time as the student for whom they will be the guardian or until the student turns 18 years of age.
